I’ve seen this recently on the men’s side of an ACC school. There was a lot of tension between coaches and players. Be warned.

Ask current players directly: “How many teammates have left in the past two years?” Their answers—and body language—will tell you everything you need to know. Programs with healthy cultures retain most of their recruits through graduation.

Communication Red Flags from Coaching Staff

Pay attention to how coaches communicate during your recruitment. Warning signs include:
